本研究ワークショップでは、 教育・ 研究・ 社会貢献といった大学の諸活動の改革と改善を図り、 それらを効果的にマネジメントし先導することができるアカデミック ・ リーダーの育成について考察することを目的としています。メルボルン大学と東北大学の2つの大学の経験と専門性を結集し、21世紀の研究大学で必要とされるアカデミック・リーダーシップとその発展について、高等教育研究の知見を踏まえて議論します。

The Research Workshop aims to consider how to develop academic leaders who can initiate changes and improvements in teaching, research and community engagement etc., and then manage and lead them effectively. To this end, we will bring together two universities’ experiences and expertise, and discuss academic leadership and its development required in research-intensive universities of the 21st century while referring to findings from higher education research.
