What motivates my teaching is seeing students carry their learning beyond the classroom. As a university instructor of Spanish, I am most proud when students not only master course content but also challenge themselves—whether by participating in virtual exchanges, preparing for international Spanish exams, studying abroad, or applying the language in real-world contexts. These moments are when language learning truly comes to life. I view learning as a process rooted in community and active engagement—whether through oral interaction in the classroom or hands-on fieldwork during study trips. I strive to create a safe, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment where students feel respected, heard, and supported, and where peer-to-peer learning flourishes.

My goal is for students to leave the classroom not just with grammatical knowledge or vocabulary, but with a deep and lasting enthusiasm for languages. I aim to inspire a desire to communicate across cultures, to listen and connect with others, and to approach the world with curiosity and an open mind. Ultimately, teaching is about igniting curiosity and equipping students with the confidence and tools to build meaningful cross-cultural connections.
