教員　-そのリアル-

　ラボという環境の中で、私は動物の免疫力強化を目的とした研究に、学生とともに日々情熱を注いでいます。ラボから生み出される「知」の生産性を高めるためには、ラボ内での教育活動が不可欠です。さらに、ラボに所属する前の学生を対象とした初年次教育を含む学部教育も、将来を担う学生にサイエンスの魅力を伝えるうえで極めて重要です。日々、学生に何を伝えるべきかを模索し、学生がサイエンスに夢中になれる環境を整えるとともに、そうした学生主体の取り組みから生まれる研究成果を社会へ発信するための教育活動を精力的に実践することは、大学における研究現場において極めて重要です。大学に属する研究者として、教育の質を高めることは永遠の課題であり、私は研究活動を通じてこの難題に挑み続けています。

Within the laboratory environment, I am committed to exploring strategies to enhance immune function in animals, working closely with students who share a passion for scientific discovery. To maximize the productivity of the knowledge generated through our research, I place strong emphasis on education within the lab. Moreover, undergraduate education, including courses for first-year students who have not yet joined the lab, is also critically important for communicating the appeal of science to the next generation. These efforts aim to ignite curiosity and foster a lasting appreciation for science among young learners. I continually seek ways to inspire students, cultivate a stimulating research environment, and support student-led initiatives that lead to meaningful scientific contributions. Sharing the outcomes of these efforts with society is also a key part of my educational mission. As a university-based researcher, I regard the continuous improvement of educational quality as an essential and ongoing challenge—one that I actively strive to address through both my research activities and engagement with students.
